Adam Klein from the Durham Chamber emailed me and asked if I'd put him up as a guest post announcing that the Startup Stampede is continuing. He also appeared here with a guest post in February. I have been supportive of his efforts with this program and spoke on a VC panel at the Startup Stampede after they launched. I think the feedback from the first group of companies was positive and based on that, Adam is back at it again. I wish the program luck as it grows. Read more from Adam below.

The Bull City Startup Stampede is back! After a very successful spring season that brought 15 companies to downtown Durham for 60 days of free office space, the Greater Durham Chamber of Commerce and Downtown Durham, Inc. will be running the Stampede again this fall. Participating companies receive free office space complete with furniture, wi-fi connection and access to a wealth of startup experts.
The application process is very simple and only requires a one pager on your concept, team and market opportunity. Applications close Friday, August 12 at noon. To apply or for more info, visit www.startupstampede.com. The Stampede will begin September 16 and end November 18.
A new addition to this year's Stampede is a crowd funding campaign utilizing the software of former Stampede company, Rippple. Contributors to the campaign receive one vote to cast on the 20 finalists. The top vote getter of the finalists will receive an automatic invitation into the Stampede. Go here if you'd like to learn more or contribute as little as $25.
