Interesting article on email usage especially on those with portable devices:
- 59% check email whenever a new message arrives
- 43% said they keep the device nearby where they are sleeping to listen for incoming email
- 40% have checked their email in the middle of the night
- Washington DC is the most email addicted city in the country with 82% of people there having multiple email accounts.
I'm not going to make any comments about my personal habits :)
Human to human interaction (talking face to face)will never be overtaken by email, text messaging, etc. Instead, these methods should be used as enhancements to human interaction. The people who get this will continue to do well in life. The people that use email as the only way to communicate will not go as far as they would like.
IMHO

I think everybody in DC has a BlackBerry. But then again, practically everyone in the tech industry has one too.
Do you still have that draft saved? ;)

I wonder if "yapping" will help or hurt email addiction? :-)
